What Signal Mountain is built from

Leaf fall is the local aggravation: oak and hickory litter tracks in on shoes through autumn, and the tannin in wet leaf matter leaves a pale brown halo on light wool that spreads a little every time the spot is dampened again. The bigger risk is the storage habit. A rolled rug parked in a lower-level garage or a shed over one winter comes back with a musty base and, often enough, moth activity in the folds — moths want dark, undisturbed and slightly damp, and that describes the space precisely.
